Middle School Courses
Elkhorn school follows the district qualification guidelines for the advanced Math pathway. Elkhorn 7th and 8th grade students all take the following courses:

Gifted and Talented Education (GATE)
The Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program begins in 4th grade, providing program choices to best meet the individual needs of students.
Gifted instructional strategies include:
- Differentiated instruction that provides additional rigor and depth.
- Cooperative learning groups that work together to solve complex problems.
- Compacted and accelerated curriculum with pacing that meets the needs of gifted learners.

Special Education
Lodi Unified School District is committed to meeting the educational needs of the exceptional child. All disabled children between the ages of 3 and 21 are provided appropriate educational opportunities.
