8th Grade Promotion Committee: 8th Grade Promotion is right around the corner! Traditionally, the 8th grade parents have planned the special festivities associated with this fleeting moment in time, while the 7th grade parents help and learn for next year. We are still in need of a chairperson and volunteers for various aspects of this exciting event. Please contact the Elkhorn office at (209) 953-8330 if you’d like to volunteer. An informational sheet went home with the 8th grade students last week and needs to be returned next week.

Health Guidelines: In order to provide as healthy a school environment as possible for all children and staff, the following guidelines have been prepared to assist you in decisions relating to your child's health and school attendance. If your child is not feeling well and you are uncertain about sending him/her on any given school day, it is best to keep your child home and observe him/her for further symptoms. When you make the decision to keep your child home, please notify the office that your child will be absent and state the nature of your child's illness. Here are the guidelines established by the District for common illnesses:
If your student is out of school for an illness lasting 3 days or more, a Doctor’s note stating when your student can return to school is required.
Homework Requests: Absent students are responsible for making up all missed work. Students absent for one or two days should expect to take care of missed work, tests, and assignments upon their return to school. Parents/Guardians may contact the office to request homework on the third day of an excused absence.
